World war, strange pandemic illnesses, weapons of mass destruction. Aww, screw it. Before the world ends, I'm going heli-skiing tommorrow.
Bittersweet since there will be so many of our friends and family involved in this mess. Whatever ugly events unfold from this, I believe wholeheartedly that our citizens in our armed forces deserve 100% of our repect and backing. Nothing pisses me off more than a bunch of demonstrators trashing on the very individuals that protect thier butts and thier right to protest. I might not agree totally with the foundations of this action or with all the Prezs' motives (at least he's not ignoring everthing and just kicking back enjoying BJ's and cigars) but I want the US citizens involved in the fighting over thier to come back safe ASAP! At least they seem ready to do the job they signed up to do and not whine about it. In fact, the people in the action obviously are whining less than the ones sitting behind the comfortable curtain built by American military might.
Enough rant. I am going heli-skiing tommorrow in the Wasatch. Dropping one rose at 10,000 feet for good luck and God speed to our troops and one in rememberance of an Old NW knuckle-dragger ICON...Craig Kelly...A Mt. Baker legend. If I was back in the NW I'd find another way to toast our people on the water.
Just some random thoughts of my day. Realizing how fortunate I am to live where I do and like I do...thanks to others.
